RC Skydiving
Please watch the Micro Skydiver Parachute Packing Video to learn how to pack the parachute properly.
For the Standard Skydiver Parachute, please watch the RC Parachute Packing Tutorial.
You can check our product videos under each skydiver product webpage in the Videos section tab or directly on our YouTube channel.
You will need an RC aircraft to drop the skydiver from (airplane, helicopter or drone). You'll also need our dropbox mechanism to securely attach the skydiver under the aircraft and drop it when you want. You will need someone to fly the drop plane and someone controlling the skydiver. If you are using a drone or helicopter that has GPS, you can do everything alone.
Our models are available in a two product formats to suit your needs. The three letter acronyms are a basic designation which tells you two primary things:
- what amount of assembly is required
- what is included with the model
ARF - ARF stands for "Almost Ready to Fly." An ARF skydiver is "mostly" built with the exception of the radio system electronics, servos and battery. ARFs require you to purchase radio control transmitter and receiver separately. ARFs are for hobbyists who prefer to put their own choice of electronics in the skydiver. ARF models require 10 to 30 minutes of assembly.
Requires: servos, battery, battery charger, transmitter and receiver.
Please note that you can purchase an ARF skydiver with our own servos and battery installed.
RTF - RTF stands for "Ready to Fly". Skydivers that are RTF come with everything you need to fly in the box. A transmitter, receiver, battery, and all other required electronics are included and pre-installed from us. All you need to do is charge your battery, pack the parachute, prepare your drop aircraft and you're ready for the first jump.
Requires: battery charger.
No, our skydivers come fully assembled with the ordered electronics and the parachute is pre-installed. No gluing is required so you can fly it as soon as possible, the setup is also very easy, just install your receiver and bind it to your remote. Everything is clearly explained in the owner's manual included in the box.
Skydivers are very easy to fly, the need for skill starts on the ground. Just as in full scale skydiving, packing the chute is most important. You must follow the instructions we give you in packing the chute and getting him ready to jump.
Of course, our skydivers and parachutes are handmade with really high quality materials. They are very robust and durable and will last over time. Because they are radio controlled, you can steer the parachute and make them land right next to you. After landing, pack the parachute and drop them again as many times as you want!
If you damage your skydiver, you can order the needed repair part on our online store in the Spare Parts category. If your parachute needs to be fixed, you can send it back so we can repair it. Please contact us if you need further assistance.
Yes, we offer a detailed and convenient array of repair parts and components in case you need any replacement part for your skydiver or a new parachute.
The Micro Skydiver is a good way to start RC Skydiving. You can drop it from many RC planes since it is very lightweight (only 10 oz). The Standard Skydiver requires a bigger airplane or drone. They are both very easy to fly and the parachute packing method is really similar.
Just as in full scale skydiving, we use an R/C airplane, helicopter or drone to take them to jump altitude.
For the Micro Skydiver a high lift, 1.2m wingspan airplane is plenty big enough. If it can carry 10 oz. you are good to go. For example you can use the 1.5m FMS Cessna, 1.3m Carbon Cub, 1.2m Timber X 1.2m, 1.4m Piper J3 Cub or Grasshopper, 1.2m Decathlon, 1.4m Freewing Pandora, 1.5m DHC-2 Beaver, 1.5m Kavan Pilatus PC-6 Porter, 1.62m Nexa Piper PA-18 Super Cub Burda and many more.
For the Standard Skydiver a high lift, 2 meters or + wingspan airplane is what you want. If it can carry 1kg / 35oz. you are good to go. For example you can use any 2m or + Piper J3 Cub, the 2.45m Black Horse Super Decathlon, 2m Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 30cc, 2.1m E-Flite Carbon-Z Cub SS, 2.357m Fairchild Model 24 Argus, 2.21m Nexa King Quest Kodiak, 2.24m Black Horse PZL-104 Wilga, Pilatus Porter C-6, 2.71m Piper PA-18 Super Cub and many more.
Of course, the bigger and more power the faster you get to jump altitude.
Absolutely, our drone dropping system allows you to drop your Micro Skydiver from any drone as long as it is able to lift the skydiver's weight (287g / 10oz). For the Standard RC Skydiver, you'll need a drone capable of carrying at least 1kg / 35.27oz.
For the Micro Skydiver, minimum altitude would be 300 ft / 100m (very short flight). A typical drop altitude for the Micro Skydiver is 900 ft / 250m.
For the Standard Skydiver, minimum altitude would be 1000 ft / 300m (short flight). A typical drop altitude for the Standard Skydiver is 1200 ft / 350m.
IMPORTANT - Make sure to check your local field regulation for maximum flight altitude. The FAA limits you to 400 ft unless you receive prior authorization.
You'll find all these information in the Specifications tab in the product description.

Toy Parachutes
They can be used in many different activities: parachute drop from RC plane, teddy bear or plush BASE Jump, get a replica of your own rig, teach skydiving students how a parachute is made, decoration, advertising, etc.
All mini parachutes are handmade with very high quality materials. First we cut the fabrics, then we do the assembly with a sewing machine. Finally we attach the lines one by one using a needle and install all the accessories.
A mini parachute packs just like a real one. It takes 5-10 minutes to pack a mini parachute in its container. You can access our packing tutorial videos when placing an order on our website.
It depends on the wing area of the parachute. The larger the wingspan the greater the load can be. Please refer to the product details table to see maximum payload mass values. They can NOT be used as real parachutes on human beings or animals.
