Building

Building a mini parachute takes between 6 and 10 hours depending on the model. It is a quite long process that requires many skills and patience. Each model is carefully made with a sewing machine and assembled by hand.

Step 1 : fabric cutting

First we cut all the parts that we will need for the parachute in the fabric. This includes the canopy fabric but also the container which is made of leatherette. For this step we mainly use a high precision laser cutting machine to get identical parts.

Step 2 : canopy assembly

Here we sew the bottom part of the canopy to the top part using inner ribs. This 2 layers architecture allows the air to come inside the canopy and make it inflates.

Step 3 : measuring and fixing the lines

We then measure and cut each line to the correct length and fix them onto the 24 attachment point on the bottom skin of the canopy.

Step 4 : building the accessories

The accessories are optional, they add realism to the mini parachute.

Step 5 : final assembly

Finally we link the container to the risers and fix the pilot chute bridle onto the canopy. We also adjust the brakes by measuring the steering lines length. The parachute is then tested to verify its flight performance and then packed for shipping.
